About Louis XV

The House of Louis XV was created out of our perceived need of a new kind of jeweler. Frustrated with the lack of creative jewelry and unfair markups, we dreamt of a jewelry store that offered timeless jewelry, fresh ideas, and reasonable prices. We imagined that this could all be possible in a sophisticated and beautiful, yet comfortable, environement. And, thus, the concept of "Obtainable Extravagance" was born.

Every item in our salon has been appraised for replacement purposes by a Gemalogical Institute of America Graduate Gemologist. Upon request, this appraisal will accompany your item when purchased. This is a fully legal appraisal that can and should be used for insurance purposes. This appraisal is in no way inflated in order to make our prices appear more attractive. To the contrary, the principals of the House of Louis XV instructed said appraisers to be aggressively conservative in their replacement valuations. Some jewelers include design and molding costs when preparing replacement appraisals. While these costs are valid, they tend to over-inflate the true value. Thus, our appraisals are based solely on materials and labor to recreate the valuable Louis XV jewelry you are acquiring.
